According to the latest textile raw material export statistics from the General Administration of Customs, China exported a total of 189,000 tons of polyester yarn from January to April 2026, marking a year-on-year increase of 5.7%. Among these, the export growth of polyester colored spun yarn and recycled colored staple fiber yarn led the way, with shipments to garment factories in Bangladesh, Indonesia, Türkiye, and Vietnam increasing by 24% month-on-month.

According to feedback from industry traders, after the conclusion of the Bangladesh DIFS and Vietnam VTG textile exhibitions in 2026, overseas buyers concentrated on placing additional orders. Inquiries for gray polyester spun yarn and recycled liquid-dyed yarn increased most significantly. Conventional white polyester yarn experienced significant price fluctuations due to fluctuations in crude oil prices, but pre-dyed polyester spun yarn, which eliminates the need for customers to perform post-production dyeing, demonstrated stronger order stability, with a 30% higher repurchase rate among overseas customers.

The export structure exhibits significant differentiation: the EU market prioritizes the procurement of GRS-certified recycled polyester colored spun yarn, accounting for 61% of the total exports of colored yarn to Europe; Southeast Asian and Middle Eastern markets favor high cost-effective hemp gray and segmented color polyester colored spun yarn, which are predominantly used in sports knitting and home textile bedding filling; functional flame-retardant and UV-resistant polyester colored spun yarn is gradually entering the niche market of workwear and outdoor fabrics in Europe and America.
